Urgent and Emergency Medical Needs

  By Dr. Karen Ilika
If you have a life threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the hospital emergency room immediately.

During the work week, we will make every effort to see you in the office within 24 hours if your situation requires it. Examples of problems we are able to see on a same day or next day basis include breast lumps, vaginal infections, threatened miscarriage, urinary tract infections, and other acute gynecological conditions.

After hours you can leave a message on our voice mail or use email to request an appointment for the next day. We check both first thing each morning Monday through Thursday and will contact you by 9 am to schedule your visit. Please be sure to leave a number where you can be reached between 8 and 9 am.

For medical problems that need Dr. Ilika's immediate attention at night or on the weekend, call the office and follow the prompts on our recording. You will hear instructions on how to have the doctor paged. If for any reason you do not receive an response within 30 minutes, please use your best judgement and go to the emergency room in needed.
